Manager Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out the possibility of new-signee Lucas Silva making his full debut this weekend against Real Sociedad. But the Real Madrid boss has confirmed that the Brasileiro league defensive midfielder of the year will be included in his 18-man match day squad at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Silva’s transfer from the Brazilian champions Cruzeiro has officially been completed, all that remains is for the midfielder to be registered with the Spanish Football Federation and the LFP.

The 21-year-old midfielder (who will wear number 16) has been training with the first-team and Ancelotti feels that Silva is ready to be part of the team against David Moyes’ side on Saturday. The Italian manager plans to partner Toni Kroos and Asier Illarramendi in the middle of the pitch with his squad lined up 4-4-2, since Cristiano Ronaldo will be serving the first of his two-match ban following his violent conduct at Cordoba last weekend.

Silva will likely see time in the second half of the contest for either Kroos or Illarramendi.

Programming note: Real Madrid vs. Real Sociedad will be shown LIVE on Saturday morning starting at 10:00am EST on beINSPORTS and DishWorld.
