The Spanish newspaper Marca has reported that Real Madrid have rewarded the players for winning ‘La Decima’ by presenting them each with a watch worth roughly £24,000.

The La Liga club had already given their ‘Galacticos’ a bonus of around £400,000 for their Champions League and Copa del Rey victories last season. Now the Spanish giants have awarded each of their players with a Panerai Radiomir GMT Oro Rosso to commemorate winning the club’s tenth European cup.

The watch features polished gold on the bezel, buckle and case, and an alligator skin strap. Each one being personalized, the sapphire crystal back inscribed with the player’s name and “UCL Champions 2014”.

According to Marca, the extravagant gifts have gone over extremely well in the Real Madrid locker room, since most of the players have a passion for watches.

With Los Blancos off to a fantastic start this season – already winning the UEFA Super Cup, leading La Liga, undefeated in the Champions League group, progressing in the Copa del Rey and preparing for the FIFA Club World Cup – what will Real Madrid officials reward their players with at this time next year should the club take home four or five titles?
