While Borussia Dortmund are on top of their Champions League group heading into matchday six of the competition, Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently rock bottom in the Bundesliga with only three wins in their opening 13 league matches. Injuries and poor form have lead to a sudden turn in the German club’s fortunes.

But despite the team’s struggles on the pitch, Dortmund still boast one of the more loyal and vocal supporters in all of Europe. Their fans have continued to sell out the Westfalenstadion, while traveling great distances to support the club domestically and in Europe.

To thank their loyal supporters, Dortmund players engaged in lengthy photograph sessions and went behind the bar at the club’s Christmas party – pulling pints for more than 1,000 BVB fans.

Club captain Roman Weidenfeller led the team behind the bar, with the likes of Mats Hummels, Marco Reus, Ilkay Gundogan and Nevan Subotic all pouring drinks for the supporters.

By making this small gesture to their fans, Dortmund players have set a positive example for the club and the Bundesliga as a whole.
