The draw for the fourth round of the Copa del Rey has been made with the first legs set to be played on Wednesday December 3rd and the return fixture to be contested two weeks later on December 17th; except for the tie between Cornella and the reigning title holders Real Madrid, which will be played on October 29 and December 3rd because of Los Blancos involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup.
The main talking point following the draw is the possibility of a Madrid derby (Real Madrid v. Atletico Madrid) in the quarter-finals of the competition, with the winner facing a potential semi-final encounter with Barcelona; who have the most Copa del Rey titles in Spanish history (26).
On the other side of the draw, there could be a Galician derby between Deportivo and Celta Vigo in the last 16, while Valencia and Sevilla could also face off in the same round.
