Sky Sports pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher got into a fascinating debate on the first Monday Night Football episode of the season as they discussed the new fad of wing backs in the modern game, and whether they’re much different than the modern day full back.

The 3-5-2 formation proved to be the catalyst for the debate between the former Manchester United and Liverpool defenders.

Neville, as always, does a great job at explaining the intricacies of soccer from a player’s perspective that viewers can understand.

Why does “Viewers” link to a random article about celebs taking over from Letterman?

  2. Smokey Bacon says:

Oh for Gods sake, enough with the man love for these two! Yes they are good analysts but it’s hardly quantum mechanics discussed by two Nobel prize winners. They are no better or worse than Earle & Mustoe.

  3. RJ says:

Damn, I knew this was going to happen eventually. I actually agree with Carragher.

Baines and Coleman don’t play any differently than wingbacks.

  4. Bob says:

I wish these vids came with subtitles. Take the schlong out of your mouth Jamie!
