A huge crowd of 62,583 soccer fans descended on Berkeley, California on Saturday to watch Real Madrid and Inter Milan play in the 2014 International Champions Cup.

World Soccer Talk photographer Josh Tomlinson was on hand to capture some of the moments on a beautiful day on the west coast of the United States.

The game ended 1-1 in regulation time, but Inter Milan won the penalty kick shootout 3-2 to pick up an important win in Group A of the tournament.

  1. R.O says:

I wasn’t able to go but friends of mine said it was excellent.

The next day at Candlestick it was SJ Earthquakes vs At.Madrid. Only 15K + fans were in attendance. The game was part of the Copa EuroAmericana.

The game started 1 hour late due to the AT. Madrid Bus breaking down.

The game ended 0-0 with At. Madrid win on PK’s 3-4.

Not a very good game. Both teams used players who are not in the regular starting lineups.

  2. ThankGod says:

Madrid need to stay on top, from the preseason.
