The 2014-15 La Liga schedule has been released and most fans of the Spanish league quickly scanned the fixtures to see when Barcelona and Real Madrid will be facing off in the first El Clasico of the season.

The first matchup between the Spanish giants will be Sunday, October 26 at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid.

As it stands now, Luis Suarez could make his Barcelona debut on that day.

The Uruguayan was banned from all soccer-related activities by FIFA, cannot train with the Catalan club and is prohibited from entering the confines of any stadium.

His ban was announced July 1, but the incident between Suarez and  Giorgio Chiellini took place on June 24. So it is likely that the newly-signed striker will be available for the first El Clasico of the season.

The second matchup between Barcelona and Real Madrid will take place on March 22, 2015.

Atletico Madrid, the reigning champions of Spain, begin their league defense against Rayo Vallecano.

That match was scheduled to take place the weekend of August 24, but because of their Spanish Super Cup, matches against Real Madrid are to be played on August 19 and 22, Los Colchoneros will start their season on Monday August 25th.

Real Madrid, the winners of last season’s Copa del Rey and Champions League, will open their La Liga campaign against Cordoba on August 25th. While Barcelona begin their year at home to Elche.
