Reports from England are saying that Cardiff City striker Fraizer Campbell is in London to have a medical before a proposed move to Crystal Palace.

The 26-year-old was reportedly nearing a transfer to newly-promoted Leicester City, after the club triggered his release clause with the Welsh club. But it is apparent that negotiations between the player and club have broken down.

Campbell is a product of the Manchester United youth academy and has spent time at various Championship and Premier League clubs including Hull City, Tottenham and Sunderland.

He has also made one appearance on the England national team (2012), along with 14 appearances with the England U-21 squad.

Last season, Campbell scored 13 goals for Cardiff City; perhaps his biggest goals being the two scored against Manchester City during the Bluebirds 3-2 defeat of the eventual Premier League champions.

The striker is rumored to be signing a three-year deal with Palace with an announcement expected in the next 24 hours.
