This will be Liverpool and Roma’s first game in the United States this year as both teams begin preparation for the 2014-2015 season. After their friendly at Fenway, the two squads will participate in the Guinness International Champions Cup starting on July 24.

NBCSN is coming off a hugely successful 2013-2014 Premier League season after all 380 games were broadcast to over 31.5 million Americans as well as 259.2 million minutes streamed on the Sports Live Extra app.

Liverpool looked for their first League title since 1990 but ended up second in the Premier League last season, finishing behind winners Manchester City by one goal and two points. The Reds also gained entrance into the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 2009-2010 season. AS Roma also earned a spot in the Champions League for the 2014-2015 season after missing it for the past two years and finished second in Serie A behind Juventus during manager, Rudi Garcia’s first season in Rome.

AS Roma are likely to feature new signing Ashley Cole, while Liverpool could give debuts to Emre Can, Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana.

The teams will be playing in the historic Fenway Park for the second time after their meeting in 2012 in front of a sold out crowd of over 37,000 fans, where Roma went on to win 2-1.

After their friendly, Roma heads to Denver, Colorado where they will face Manchester United in the International Champions Cup on July 26 followed by other Group A opponents Real Madrid and Inter Milan.

Liverpool will finish out their matches in the United States by participating in Group B of the Internationkal Champions Cup and will play Olympiacos, then followed by Manchester City and A.C. Milan.
