Croatia ripped Cameroon to pieces on Wednesday evening by a 4-0 scoreline. Mario Mandzukic who was suspended for the opening match of the competition which Croatia lost 3-1 to the host nation Brazil, struck twice, while Ivica Olic and Ivan Perisic also found themselves on the score sheet. Cameroon was reduced to 10 men late in the first half when Alex Song was sent off.

The Croats will face Mexico on June 23rd with a place in the second round on the line. Assuming Brazil draws or wins against Cameroon the same day, Croatia must win the match to advance while Mexico will need a win or draw.
