NBC Sports has launched a new TV commercial to remind soccer fans in the United States that it is the “home” of the world’s greatest players.

The new commercial launched tonight in select markets during half-time of the US-Ghana game on ESPN. The new Premier League season kicks off on NBCSN/NBC on Saturday, August 16 — just over a month after the World Cup ends.

Smart marketing by NBC to appeal to soccer fans during a huge game when everyone will be watching.

Agreed a shrewd move on the part of NBC. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were more to come. Any word on if NBC’s app will allow for streaming via Apple TV. It would also be nice if this was for Dish World as well.

  2. NashRambler says:

Are there any plans for an NBC Sports Live Extra channel for Roku?

  3. Emmett says:

This has actually been played during almost every game in the World Cup so far, not just last night. I love it, such a smart move. Hopefully the players featured go deep into the knockout stages.
