One of the rituals of a World Cup experience is watching the opening ceremony, which is sometimes a long and drawn-out affair, but with the games being held in Brazil, hopefully we can expect some excitement.

Here’s where you can find the World Cup opening ceremony on US TV today:

1. Univision is the only US broadcast network airing the Opening Ceremonies over free-to-air TV. Coverage begins at 2pm ET on Univision and is simulcast on Univision Deportes. Plus you can also watch it live and online for free, without authentication, on Univision’s website.

With Univision, you can also watch it live on the Univision World Cup app.

2. ESPN3.com will live stream the opening ceremony at 2 pm ET (authentication may be required).

3. ESPN2 will provide live look-ins during SportsCenter.

Following the ceremony, Brazil will face Croatia at 4 pm ET in what should be an entertaining match between two attacking sides. Enjoy the festivities everyone and let’s appreciate how great the World Cup is.

For soccer lovers around the world, today feels like Christmas. Luckily for us, instead of getting presents only today, we’ll receive the gift of matches almost everyday for a month. To enjoy this holiday, we must celebrate by viewing the World Cup’s opening ceremony that will take place before the opening match.

The festivities will take place at the Arena de Sao Paulo in Sao Paulo and will include all types of entertaining acts. The beginning of the ceremony will include a song and dance which is intended to highlight Brazil’s rich history and legendary penchant for knowing how to party.

“The Opening Ceremony is a tribute to Brazil and its treasures: nature, people, football. The sense of excitement here is amazing and everyone is very motivated. It doesn’t matter whether they’re feeling tired or hot sometimes or if they have to go through routines again and again: they just keep on smiling. It’s amazing,” said artistic director Daphne Cornez to FIFA.com.

The overall opening performance will be about 25 minutes and will incorporate dancers, gymnasts, musicians and more to create a spectacle.

Normally, a speech from the event’s organizers would take place but because of the protests and unrest with how corrupt many Brazilians feel their government and FIFA has been the orations will not occur. Last year, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff was booed at the opening match of the Confederations Cup so with the world tuned in this year, FIFA wanted to avoid potential global embarrassment.

Many have heard “We Are One (Ole Ola)”, the official song of the World Cup, and the stars of the record Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte will perform their hit.
