Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj has decided to select Belgium as the national team he would like to play for.

Januzaj was eligible to select from a number of different countries to play his national team football including England, Belgium, Kosovo, Albania, Serbia and Turkey. But the Belgium football federation have today announced that Januzaj has chosen Belgium.

The development means that it’s possible that Adnan Januzaj could be selected for the World Cup 2014 team that will play in Brazil this summer.

The statement by the Belgium football federation read “Adnan Januzaj is available for [national team manager] Marc Wilmots and the Belgian National Team. Welcome to the family!”
