Draw for UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals Revealed

uefa champions league draw Draw for UEFA Champions League Semi Finals Revealed

The draw for the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League semi-finals have been made, and we now know who the four teams (Chelsea, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich) will play.

Before the draw happened, if you were FOX Sports, you would have hoped for a Chelsea against Real Madrid final. Or Chelsea against Bayern Munich, in order to generate a large TV viewing audience (and record ratings). Will they get their wish for the final?

The semi-finals will be played in two legs, home-and-away basis, with the first leg to be played on Tuesday, April 22 and Wednesday, April 23 while the return legs are scheduled to be played on Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30.

Based on how the draw has unfolded, who do you think will win the UEFA Champions League final?

  1. In football we have two type of supporters”Lookers and watchers”Tommy Smith.

  2. Rick says:

This is the draw i would like to see, Chelsea v Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid v Bayern Munich.

  3. Ianor says:

I think chris. The final is clear with out any doubt. Come 24.5.2014 in lisbon. Bayern munich vs chelsea. Can’t see real getting past this wonderfull german team, athletico is the same. For the fact is the second leg will be in munich and london gives no chance for other two.

  4. Bergkamp_10 says:

Considering the fact that Atletico just beat Barca and are playing with real pace and purpose and amazing work rate, Chelsea better be ready for war.

    • Jayoh says:

I agree…people are WAY too easily dismissing Atletico…they looked really really strong.

    • David says:

I agree. I actually think Atletico will make it to the final. They are a very good team.

    • ktbffh says:

i’m a chelsea supporter and i can’t understand how many people think chelsea are some superpower. great team but still lacking.
i was so amazed to see how many people wrote off PSG and are now doing the same with athleti.
will chelsea be in the final? i don’t know, but as u said, they better be ready for war.

  5. Will says:

Bayern Munich don’t look as solid in defence as everyone thinks.

#Real could beat them over two legs definetely.

  6. Hala Madrid says:

We are Real Madrid the biggest club in the world we fear no one.
Best to get rid of the German curse with getting a Hat trick of wins over them and then hammer one of Chelsea or Atleti.

  7. Matt says:

No Courtois is a huge blot to Atletico’s chances.

  8. Martin J. says:

Chelsea will get through since the second leg is at Stamford Bridge. That’s an advantage. The same for Bayern who play the second leg in Munich. So we’ll see a Mourinho vs Guardiola final. Given the animosity between the two men this promises to be a gem.

  9. tobyjim says:

When is the Gus Johnsone draw?

  10. Fernando says:

    Literally both semi’s are 50/50.

    My guess is Bayern-Chelsea again.

  11. Frill Artist says:

Crazy but I think Chelsea will lift the trophy this season.

  12. R.O says:

What a draw. I heard some “speculation” that two Spanish teams wouldn’t be drawn against each other. lol

For the final I would like to see RM vs Chelsea. Ex-RM manager vs Ex-Chls Manager.

RM can beat Bayern, especially since the first leg is in Madrid. Chelsea will have a difficult time with Atl. Madrid, unless AM players feel the pressure of a Semi.

Looking forward to the games (but not to Gus Johnson doing the commentary.)

  13. Andyb says:

    Atletico & Bayern favourites.

Bayern’s high line will make the likes of Ronaldo and Bale lick their lips, but they won’t be able to get the ball out of their half like in the second leg against Dortmund so it won’t matter. Madrid and their very weak defensive play and shape will get destroyed. There’s is so much more to come from Bayern, they haven’t got out of second gear yet.

As for Atletico Chelsea, it’ll be much closer. I don’t think we’ll see many goals and the smallest of margins will decide the game. If Diego Costa returns with the form he showed previously, I think they’ll have the edge.
