Earlier this month, singer Gary Barlow joined several England stars for the recording of the official England World Cup song. While we haven’t heard the song yet, The FA released behind-the-scenes footage today featuring interviews with several of the players and musicians involved.

Former England captain Gary Lineker formed a 20-strong all star band to record the England World Cup song on behalf of Sport Relief. Famous names involved include ex-footballers Peter Shilton, Michael Owen, Glenn Hoddle,Sir Geoff Hurst, Martin Keown, Gary Mabbutt, Gary Pallister, Carlton Palmer, Kenny Sansom, David Seaman, Dion Dublin, plus pop stars Katy B, Emma Bunton Pixie Lott, Mel C, Eliza Doolittle, Conor Maynard and Kimberley Walsh. The video will make its debut on March 21, with all proceeds from the single going to Sport Relief. The single will not be released until nearer the tournament in June.

The promo was filmed at Sarm Studios in west London, where the 1984 Band Aid single was also recorded.
