As if the news couldn’t get any worse for Arsenal fans today, the club has revealed that Mesut Ozil could be out for the next 3 weeks after picking up a hamstring injury in the team’s defeat against Bayern Munich, which sent the North London club crashing out of the UEFA Champions League.

In his post-match interview, Wenger revealed:

“I don’t know (how long he will be out for), but for sure he is out (of the Tottenham game on Sunday).

“We have to make a scan tomorrow to see how bad it is but he’s out for at least a few weeks. I hope it’s not too bad.”

The German midfielder was substituted at half-time in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw (and 3-1 aggregate loss).

Ozil joins a growing injury list at Arsenal with the following players still out due to injury: Jack Wilshere (foot), Nicklas Bendtner (knee), Abou Diaby (knee), Kieran Gibbs (ankle), Kim Kallstrom (back), Nacho Monreal (foot), Aaron Ramsey (thigh), Yaya Sanogo (knock) and Theo Walcott (knee).
