Napoli vs Swansea City, Europa League Round Of 32, 2nd Leg: Open Thread

europa league 600x336 Napoli vs Swansea City, Europa League Round Of 32, 2nd Leg: Open Thread

If any soccer hater complains that nil-nil draws are boring, have them watch last week’s incredibly thrilling game between Swansea City and Napoli in the Europa League Round of 32 first leg.

It was an open, attacking match from both sides. The only thing that was missing were goals, but both Swansea and Napoli created plenty of chances, but they were foiled by two goalkeepers (actually three, after Napoli’s goalkeeper was replaced by Pepe Reina in the second half), who kept the final score at 0-0.

Last week’s 0-0 draw sets today’s match up perfectly to determine who will make it into the Round of 16 to play the winner of Eintracht Frankfurt and Porto.

For viewers in the United States, here’s the TV/Internet schedule:

Napoli vs Swansea (Europa League), 1pm, FOX Sports 1 and FOX Soccer 2Go

Starting line-ups:

Napoli: Reina; Maggio, Henrique, Albiol, Ghoulam; Inler, Behrami; Insigne, Pandev, Callejòn; Higuain

Swansea: Vorm, Tiendalli, Chico Flores, Williams, Davies, Canas, de Guzman, Hernandez, Routledge, Emnes, Bony.

Before, during or after today’s matches (there are plenty of other Europa League matches kicking off today), join the conversation in the comments section below with fellow soccer fans from around the world.
