A photo of England’s home shirt for the 2014 FIFA World Cup has been leaked on the Internet.

OK Nike. We take back everything we’ve said about how Umbro’s shirt designs for England have been classier in the past. Nike has finally hit design perfection for the England national team with a shirt design that marries the best parts of what we loved about Umbro in the past — clean, simple yet elegant designs.

The England World Cup shirt for 2014 has a similar design to the home England shirt worn from 1954 to 1963. The white shirt and white V-neck collar ensure that the focus is on the England crest (the Three Lions) and the Nike swoosh.

The simplicity and purity of this shirt is beautiful. Rather than having a hot shot designer trying to mark his mark with a busy design, Nike have chosen the best route possible. Plus, the style is distinctive enough where it doesn’t look like the USMNT home shirt for the World Cup.
