It’s been 13 years and counting since a Major League Soccer team has played in the southeastern United States, but finally an ambitious entrepreneur is ready to take the risk of launching that team. That man is David Beckham.
Beckham and MLS Commissioner Don Garber will announce today that Miami will become the 22nd team in MLS. There’s no stadium and no team name yet, but Beckham will officially announce today that the team will be coming to Miami.
Beginning at 10am ET today, watch the live stream of the press conference via the video below. World Soccer Talk will be in attendance at the press conference, so if you have any suggested questions you’d like us to pose to Beckham and/or Garber, please post them in the comments section below.
