West Ham United vs Manchester City, Capital One Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg: Open Thread

West Ham United striker Andy Carroll makes his first start of the 2013/14 season against a Manchester City side that is not taking any chances.

Aguero and Negredo start up front for Manchester City, while Manuel Pellegrini’s side has plenty of depth on the substitute’s bench in case the manager needs to turn to them. With West Ham United down 6-0 from the first leg, this should be a walk in the park for City, but stranger things have happened.

For West Ham United, Kevin Nolan returns to the first team, so it’ll be interesting to see how committed he is to the cause for the Hammers.

Starting line-ups:

West Ham United: Jaaskelainen, Nolan, Tomkins, Rat, Carroll, Taylor, Morrison, Diarra, Diame, J.Cole, Johnson

Subs: Jarvis, Collison, Adrian, Noble, Downing, C.Cole, Chambers

Manchester City: Pantilimon, Clichy, Nastasic, Lescott, Boyata, Lopes, Fernandindo, Garcia, Navas, Negredo, Aguero

Subs: Hart, Demichelis, Rodwell, Dzeko, Zabaleta, Jovetic, Kolarov

I hope they get spanked again, 1-0 in the first 4 minutes is great!

  2. Jim says:

West Ham only need to score 9 now to get to the final. Big Andy will light it up in the second half :-) .

  3. Flyvanescence says:

Maybe Big Sham will finally get the sack.

I hope he takes them down first though.

  4. Evan says:

Love how the City fans were singing “It could be worse, you could have Moyes”
