Hull City have completed the signing of Nikica Jelavic from Everton for a club-record transfer fee of around £6.5million.

The talented Croatian striker joins the Tigers on a 3.5-year deal. The transfer fee is believed to be £6.5million but Everton will receive an additional £1million if and when Hull City avoid relegation this season.

Jelavic joined Everton in 2012 for a transfer fee of £5.5million from Rangers. That season he scored 11 goals in 16 matches for the Toffees. This season, Jelavic has had a difficult time finding the net for Everton although he did score two goals in the FA Cup match against Queens Park Rangers recently.

QPR were also interested in signing Jelavic and were willing to offer £3.5million according to press reports.
