In an evenly matched first half between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup Third Round, Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla opened up the scoring in the game with a well-taken shot that sailed into the back of the net.

Other than Cazorla’s clinical shot, the key to the goal was Serge Gnabry’s wonderful assist that spread Tottenham’s defense and allowed Cazorla space and time to take the shot and score.

Evenly matched? Would a neutral truly say that ?

    • Christopher Harris says:

In the first half, yes. Tottenham had a couple of clear-cut chances to get goals. If they had finished them, it would have been a different game.

      • dano328 says:

Arsenal flubbed a few chances as well in the first half. I never got the jitters because it felt we controlled the game all 90+.

  2. dano328 says:

Doesn’t make sense for Ozil to come in at 2 nil. Flamini sure, but rest the 42 mil guy who doesn’t defend much.

  3. scrumper says:

Tottenham were completely outplayed. Even when Arsenal had ten men.
