Brek Shea Joins Barnsley On Loan From Stoke City: Official

USMNT and Stoke City winger Brek Shea has joined Barnsley on loan, Stoke City have confirmed.

Barnsley are currently rooted at the bottom of the SkyBet Championship league in England, and need all the help they can get to stay in the division, while Shea needs playing time in order to try to make the US Men’s National Team World Cup 2014 squad.

Shea joins Barnsley on a 28-day loan.

So far this season, Shea has made three appearances for Stoke City — one in the league and two in the League Cup.

The American midfielder/forward joined Stoke City in the January 2013 transfer window, but has failed to make an impact at the Potters.

  1. Only 28 days is interesting. I don’t think he’s in Hughes plans so maybe he goes out on another loan when he comes back.
