Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre has opened talks with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez to discuss renewing his contract to make him the highest paid Reds player ever.

According to The Telegraph newspaper, Ayre flew to Barcelona today for a meeting with Suarez’s agent to extend the Uruguayan’s deal and increase his salary to more than £130,000 per week.

    Liverpool want to tie him down to a long-term contract so that if he decides he wants to leave they will be able to get top money for him. Paying him 130,000 pounds per week is a lot less than clubs like PSG, City or Real Madrid can pay. So he could still leave if he got a better offer of a bigger paycheck, plus Champions League football.

    In the meantime Liverpool are making sure that at least in the short term he stays. The idea is to keep him till at least the end of the season. It’s possible there might be a buyout clause in the new contract as well.

    I can’t beleive it!how much was his weekly salary before?for such a club like liverbool one of the famoust,for their record event can’t reach 130.000 pounds.and player like luis suarez.look m,city 230.000 is their record.look chelsea&united.i don’t think they can convince him with this money.and real are ready to double that amount.
