  1. Smokey Bacon says:

This has got a repeat of Wednesday night written all over it. Yet another away team looking comfortable at Old Trafford. The January window can’t come soon enough.

  2. Brad says:

What’s with all the extra lines on the field…it’s an abomination.

  3. De Selby says:

    Awful dive by Chicharito.

  4. Smokey Bacon says:

For those of us who are old enough to remember when United were a mid table team………United look like a mid table team.

  5. IanCransonsKnees says:

It’s strangely mild in Stoke today not too windy but I still expect to see the usual suspects prancing around with gloves but short sleeved shirts (what’s that all about).

Wednesday against Cardiff was yet again more dull tippy tappy nonsense. We’ve changed the size of the goals in training I’m sure, we’re trying to thread the ball into a basket rather than the gaping chasm that is the goal. Either that or the players are too spineless to take responsibility for having a shot and prefer to absolve themselves of that responsibility by passing it on to some other sap in red and white.

Huth’s a big miss and Hughes dropped a bollock bringing in no cover. That said Munesia’s cameo at left back looked promising. Any Liverpool fsns reading, you appear to have done your money on Assiadi.

I will be happy today if we keep the score to below the 4 we conceded last week. We haven’t beaten Chelsea in the Premier League and expect it to be the same at 5pm today. Begovic should get a decent work out. I’ll console myself by singing rude songs about Terry and Lampard.

  6. IanCransonsKnees says:

Smokey, usually you talk utter horsesh!t but I have to agree and hope that Moyes brings about a return to those halcyon days for us all.

    • Smokey Bacon says:

It might be horsesh*t. But it’s quality horsesh*t.

      • IanCransonsKnees says:

Smokey, I take it all back today. I’ve been chatting the same brand of manure as you! As a Lion I’m sure you were cheeringon our conversion that gained 3 points in the rugby today.

  7. Smokey Bacon says:

Zaha on. That substitution should have happened 67 minutes ago.

  8. jtm371 says:

what a joke Cleverley off and Anderson negative for another negative.

  9. bran3 says:

Wonder if we’re going to get an article saying the Premier League can’t be taken seriously because of rugby lines on the pitch…

  10. Frill Artist says:

    MOYES OUT!!!!!

  11. jtm371 says:

    Well done TOON great win.

  12. Smokey Bacon says:

I called it on here this morning. It’s fair to call it a crisis at this point.

  13. Marc L says:

Toon support singing “You’re going down with the Mackems.”

Even I think this to be unnecessarily harsh.

  14. Flyvanescence says:

Lol at the rags. Loving every bit of it.

Oh wait–Citys playing away again? Maybe i should shut up.

    • Marc L says:

Yeah, me too. Everything Soton does is everything that causes us trouble.

Okay, Yaya and Ferny with the long ones over the top to beat their high press. Worked for Chelsea and needs to work for us here.

      • Flyvanescence says:

Im a bit wary. 1 pt isnt enuf right now but im kind of expecting just that. Dont like Milner on the right, but wer kinda thin with Silva and Jovetic out, and Navas cant play all of every game i guess.

Was kinda hopin wed go 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 to combat the way Soton play.

  15. Flyvanescence says:

    Could smell that coming.

Rickie Lambert might as well get used to sitting on the bench.

  16. Flyvanescence says:

Navas for Negredo at half. Go 4-3-3 with Nasri higher on the left.

  17. Dust says:

I’m sure the press will say Moyes still needs time…

It’s too big a job for him & the players aren’t performing for him. No creative spark even with Nani, RVP, januzi…

442 v 451 meant Man Utd had no chance in midield, crowded out whenever they had the ball. Interesting how when Spurs lost 1-0 @ home to NUFC AVB was destroyed, already on the radio they’re saying..well, they beat Spurs…Media BS!

Moyes loses another 2 in a row & he may be gone?

    • Dan says:

I get what your saying Dust. It’s xenophobic a lot of the press in England have something against foreigners and pretty football in general. They always blast tens for havingba good passing game and being entertaining tobwatch by saying all those flicks and tricks won’twin trophies . Complete bs. Bayern and Barca have dominated the Ucl with that kind of football and that’s why England haven’tbwon anything since 1966. I love G-Nev but he talks crap a lot.He says England need to be themselves and not worry about being like Spain or Germany because they are England. Crossing and big men up top and 442 can’t win you anything in 2013. Maybe 1975 but not 2013. Style over Substance anyday. Moyes has been given an easier ride began AVB yet Moyes has the defending champs in 9th place and Spurs are 5 points better off atthis point than they were last year I believe. If Moyes’s name was Carlos, Jose, or Manuel he wouldn’t be given such an easy ride. AVB has a better resume than Moyes in all truth.

  18. Dust says:

    Bayern are now winning 7-0…lol…

  19. Dust says:

Kompany clearance keeps it level…amazing defending

  20. Georgie says:

    Showcross is lucky lucky boy.

  21. Guy says:

Potters rule! What does ICK know? ;-)

    • IanCransonsKnees says:

      Absolutely f&%k all!

Thought we were dire until we scored that scrappy first goal. Chelsea overplayed instead of putting us to the sword. Second half was much more enjoyable and a little more direct. Begovic had a few saves to make but nothing outstanding. Whelan impressed today, Nzonzi shouldn’t have been MOM.

Agudelo is training with us, there’s talk of him signing and going out on loan in Europe.

Hopefully a point at Hull Tigers next week to keep us ticking over.

Keep an eye on your mailbox Guy, some Stoke memorabilia is winging its way to Chelsea circle.

  22. Len F says:

Should be quite the match between Arsenal and Everton tomorrow. With today’s results, it’s a huge opportunity for both.

  23. Marc L says:

Good grief, totally thankful to get out of there with one. That Soton team looks like Borussia Dortmund or some such every time I see them.

If they brought in a big name in the summer they would scare people even more. Not entirely impossible, either, as I understand they have some pretty hefty actual and potential financial backing.

OH BUT WAIT! FFP! SORRY SAINTS! Thursday Nights, Channel Five! About all you or anyone else not currently in the club can ever hope for until some court gets the good sense to dispense with that crap.

An even worse, their matches will get bumped because the instigators of the Rag Protection Act of 2013 will in fact be playing there next year. If they are lucky.

    Thank you, and good night.

  24. James says:

Stoke winning against Chelsea, well deserved. United losing to Newcastle, also well deserved. What is the world coming to?

Norwich get a great win and may have saved Hughton’s job. Palace might just avoid the drop with Pulis in charge. Very good back to back wins for them.

West Ham are dropping like lead. Liverpool score 4 against the hapless Hammers. Liverpool 2nd and United 9th. Who would have thought it.

City still struggling away from home. Southampton are definitely the team of the season and were more likely to win today. They made City look very ordinary. Pity they got a draw only.

What a season so far. Long may it continue.

  25. Dust says:

Should’ve scored 5..Defoe missing 3…we deserved the win. Inspite of Sandro handball

Next up LFC at WHL. A six pointer…

A great all around performance! (Except for Defoe)
