New Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen spoke to Sky Sports late Sunday about his appointment and his surprise at the sacking of Martin Jol. Meulensteen lasted only 17 days earlier this year at Anzhi after replacing Guus Hidinnk. In that role, the massive cuts in spending by the Russian club prompted the departure of the Dutchman.

Rene Meulensteen’s first match in charge of the Cottagers is this Wednesday against Tottenham Hotspur at Craven Cottage.

One Response to Fulham Boss Rene Meulensteen Gives First Interview After Taking Over At Craven Cottage [VIDEO]

  1. James bailey says:

I’m worried for Fulham. Not only do they have the oldest squad in the Premier League, but they’ve appointed a manager with very little experience in management and no track record in the transfer market. Is he the man to rebuild and re-energise a tired looking team?

Furthermore, Fulham’s problems run deep. This season they have conceded more than 10 shots per game in their own box, creating just under 4 per game in the process (average is 7) – this is not sustainable….
