Wayne Rooney is set to land a £52million deal as part of a new Manchester United contract, according to a report in The Sun newspaper.
The reports are that Manchester United are ready to offer Rooney a four-year extension to his contract, which would earn Rooney £52million over the four years from wages and bonuses.
The paper reports that Manchester United are close to wrapping up the legal paperwork to push the deal through, which will be welcoming news to United fans with Rooney being one of the players of the season thus far for the Red Devils.
