As if the news couldn’t get any worse for Manchester City, club captain Vincent Kompany has been ruled out of action for another 3 weeks on top of the 5 weeks he’s already been out injured.

Belgium’s medical team reports that he’s not close to being back to full fitness, and needs another 3 weeks to recover from a thigh injury. Kompany was taken off against Everton in early October after suffering a groin injury. Initial reports were that he would be out of action for up to 4 weeks. We’re now in week 5.

Kompany will miss the home match against Tottenham Hotspur on November 24 as well as several other games between the end of November and mid-December.
