Tottenham and Belgium defender Jan Vertonghen participated in an American football challenge this week with two players from the San Francisco 49ers — Joe Staley and Patrick Willis.

The two American football players visited Tottenham’s new training centre in preparation for their NFL game this weekend in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Earlier in the day, Vertonghen showed Staley and Willis some soccer moves such as juggling the ball and shooting on goal, but when it came to a competition between the three athletes to see who could throw an American football into an object, all of them failed miserably except for Vertonghen who managed to get the ball in once to win the contest.
