Manchester City have unveiled their new third kit for the 2013-14 season.

City wore the third shirt for the first time yesterday when they beat Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Champions League. The white shirt with sky blue and black stripes down the left side of the shirt give the jersey a new and unique style.

Interestingly, Manchester City are officially referring to the new kit as their “Cup Kit,” which sounds a lot better than “third kit.”

According to the press release, “Manchester City Football Club will play in a new kit that will be used in all their away Cup matches. Inspired by the club’s rich heritage, the kit features a modern take on a traditional sash design.”
