Egypt, coached by Bob Bradley, have accomplished so much in the past two years under the leadership of the American — even despite the Port Said riots and the national league being shut down. Against all the odds, Egypt qualified for the World Cup play-off round on the African continent, but now faces an extremely difficult two-leg tie against Ghana to try to reach the FIFA World Cup 2014 tournament.

Egypt has a 100% record in their qualifying process, but facing Ghana may be a challenge that’s going to be too tough to beat. In the other playoffs, Ivory Coast and Senegal should be a must-see with both teams brimming with talent, while Tunisia (who qualified for the playoff round at the expense of Cape Verde) plays Cameroon.

Here’s the complete draw for the CAF World Cup playoff round:

Ivory Coast v Senegal

Ethiopia v Nigeria

Tunisia v Cameroon

Ghana v Egypt

Burkina Faso v Algeria

The home and away legs will take place in October and November. The first leg will be played October 11-15, while the second leg will occur between November 15-19.

From the above matches, the winners over the two legs will play in Brazil next summer, while the losers will be watching the World Cup at home on television.

For viewers in the United States, we’ll keep you posted whether the games will be shown on US television. Fingers crossed that a TV broadcaster will wise up and show the games.
