One of the biggest soccer rivalries in this hemisphere kicks off tonight at 8pm ET on ESPN as the United States plays Mexico in a FIFA World Cup 2014 qualifier. If the United States wins, while Honduras prevents Panama from winning, the USA will clinch qualification to the FIFA World Cup in Brazil next summer.

Don’t underestimate Mexico though. The team from south of the border have a new coach, and will want to acquire the bragging rights to who the best team is in North America — at least for a short period of time.

The United States has not conceded any goals at home in the FIFA World Cup qualification process. Plus, the US has not lost a competitive match on US soil since June 2011. This should be quite a match indeed.

Starting lineups:

USA:

Howard; F. Johnson, Goodson, Gonzalez, Beasley; Jones, Beckerman; Bedoya, Dempsey, Donovan; E. Johnson

Subs: Jóhannsson, Davis, Guzan, Castillo, Zusi, Corona, Torres, Diskerud, M. Orozco, Parkhurst, Rimando

Mexico:

Corona; Mier, Reyes, Moreno, Salcido; Arce, Zavala, Giménez, Guardado; dos Santos, Chicharito.

Subs:: Reyna, Talavera, Alvarez, Rodriguez, Torrado, Herrera, Aquino, J. Orozco, Torres Nilo, Peralta, Jiminez, Meza
