    1. ‘Fraid those days are pretty much over, Smokey. Some stats from Sat.:

314 passes completed…127 in the attacking third

      83% short pass completion rate

Yes, it was against WHU, but I’m sure you know those are very un-Stoke-like numbers, regardless of the competition. The first set would have been a 3 match total last year and our short pass rate was generally in the upper 60’s to low 70’s.

People will just have to find another whipping boy…..or not. 😉

      1. There are lies, damn lies and statistics Guy. Where did you get this stuff? Sounds like you have been watching too much Fox Sports 1 with all their nonsense all over the screen!

I was just trying to goad ICK anyway :)

        1. Crawl back under your rock with the rest of the Bushwackers 😉

Steve Lomas must have you playing carpet football.

  1. Jan Aage Fjortoft reliable source on top of the Özil all day says: He understand that there is verbal agreement between Arsenal and Özil. According to his source: Just signature missing!

  2. This transfer deadline day is rubbish so I’m watching some old Sky Sports News instead. Apparently, this fella Berbatov might be leaving Tottenham for Manchester United.

  3. Stephen Ireland will see less of the ball now he’s at Stoke than he did at Villa. Unless of course he grows his neck a bit so he can reach all those long balls.

    1. Stephen is sure to join Marko and Jermaine (with ocassional offerings from Brek) in a new weekly Stoke blog: “What’s My Issue?”

      1. Oh to be a car park attendant at Clayon Wood. I’m sure that Ricardo Fuller will be considered an angel next to the fantastic four.

    1. Guy
just got home had to help a friend put in a hardwood floor.if you get this update me.that Hughes revolution is taking hold.i can’t believe someone gave a thumbs down for your post.

  4. Seriously – thank you for this. Enjoyed spending Deadline Day with you all.

Whew! It feels like the real season begins now!
