Wigan Athletic Third Shirt for 2013-14 Season [PHOTOS]

Wigan Athletic have unveiled their third shirt for the 2013-14 season.

The Lancashire club, which will be playing in the Europa League this season after winning the FA Cup last year, will be wearing green.

Designed by Mi-Fit, the green shirt with white trim is a distinctive color combination. The style of the shirt is the same as Wigan’s away shirt, which is black and gold. But looks completely different than Wigan’s home shirt.

While I like the design of the Wigan third shirt, it’s a shame that the shorts and socks are also in green, which is too overpowering.

And don’t forget, you can browse through the selection of soccer shirts and merchandise in the World Soccer Talk shop.

  1. Green's an unusual choice for Wigan, but it's not bad. Would've looked better with white shorts.

  2. Green isn't unusual for Wigan. It used to be a regular part of their color scheme. I wouldn't mind seeing them go back to the blue and green combination, to be honest.

    1. Yes, their home kit used to have a little green trim, but they've never had a majority green kit if my memory serves.
