Updated: Galatasaray striker Johan Elmander says he’s on his way to join Norwich City in the next challenge of his footballing career. And the Premier League club has now confirmed that Elmander has signed for Norwich on a season-long loan deal.

The 32-year-old Swedish striker, who played for Bolton, Toulouse, Feyenoord and several other clubs, is a tall, physical and clinical finisher in front of goal. He’s earned 71 caps for Sweden and has scored 19 goals for his national team.

Elmander broke the news on Twitter about his pending transfer to Norwich. The striker said: “Thank you for everything! Next challenge…” and accompanied the tweet with a photograph of Norwich City’s club crest.
