Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has resumed first team training with the Anfield club and has reportedly apologized to his teammates, according to The Guardian newspaper.

Last week Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers had ordered Suarez to train on his own. But after reports this week revealed that Suarez had told his Uruguayan teammates that he planned on staying at Liverpool because of the support of the Liverpool supporters, today’s move is a positive step forward for the controversial footballer who tried to force his way out of the club this summer.

    The “We Call it Soccer” piece was pretty good I will have to pick up Distant Corners now.

    Whether or not you like Suarez is irrelevant for a second… This is all about a club laying down the law and showing who’s in charge. Suarez was very vocal but he’s now starting to realise that he was in a corner with no way out… Proud of the club for sticking to their guns here, no matter what may happen in the future.

    If Man Utd and Spurs hold their ground over their own players too, then this window could yet be remembered as the one when this ‘player power’ took a much needed knock down a peg or two.
