Liverpool are poised to make a £30million bid for Brazilian midfielder Willian, the 25-year-old footballer who plays for Anzhi Makhachkala. The Russian Premier League team are facing a financial crisis and have put their entire squad up for sale with Samuel Eto’o hotly tipped to be heading to Chelsea.
Willan would be Brendan Rodgers’s latest major signing. The Brazilian would be exactly the type of creative midfielder Liverpool are seeking. The footballer can play on either wing, or in a more advanced attacking position on the pitch.
