Hull City have agreed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur to sign midfielder Tom Huddlestone, according to Sky sources.

Neither Tottenham nor Hull City have confirmed the news yet, but it appears likely that the 26-year-old will be playing in the amber and black of Hull City next season after a deal that’ll net Tottenham approximately £5million. As of yesterday, Sunderland were reportedly trying to steer Huddlestone to the Wearside club instead of Hull.

With Tottenham’s overcrowded midfield being supplemented this transfer window with Paulinho and winger Nacer Chadli, Huddlestone would have been limited to very little playing time at the White Hart Lane club.

Fellow Tottenham midfielder Jake Livermore is expected to join Hull City on a loan deal later today.
