Sunderland have completed the signing of Trabzonspor’s Czech defender Ondrej Celustka on a season-long loan deal.

Celustka is Sunderland’s tenth signing of the summer. The 24-year-old played for Slavia Prague in 2009 where he made 41 league appearances and scored three goals. According to the Sunderland club website, Celustka linked up with Trabzonspor — following a short spell on loan at Palermo — where he made 55 league appearances for the Turkish Super Lig club.

Internationally, the defender has 18 U21 caps to his name for the Czech Republic and featured for his country in the U21 European Championships in 2011.
