The ball is firmly in Cesc Fabregas’s court regarding where his future lies. Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova says that Fabregas wants to stay at Barcelona. The Guardian newspaper reports that Fabregas would consider a move to Manchester United, while Sky Sports is claiming that there’s a four-way fight to sign Fabregas with United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City interested in the Spanish midfielder.

What a mess.

While The Guardian doesn’t attribute any sources, and Sky Sports seems to be just throwing the names of big spenders Chelsea and Manchester City into the mix, we need to wait until we hear official confirmation from Fabregas or Barcelona regarding the player’s intentions. Personally, I don’t think Fabregas is interested in leaving Barcelona even if it is for Manchester United. With Thiago leaving Barca, Fabregas will be even more key to Barcelona’s success in the future. And right now, this whole Fabregas chase is, I believe, just paper talk.

What do you think? Is there some truth to the Fabregas transfer saga? And should Fabregas consider a move to Manchester United where he would automatically become “top dog” in midfield for David Moyes’s club? Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
