Wilfried Bony looks to have agreed a deal to sign with Swansea City, with a deal expected to be completely finalized tomorrow.

Bony, who was the Golden Boot winner in the Eredivisie after scoring 31 goals in the 2012-13 season, has been pictured in a photograph holding a Swansea City shirt and standing beside Swansea Chairman Huw Jenkins (left) and Bony’s agent (right).

Nicknamed “Daddy Cool,” the Ivory Coast striker is an incredibly gifted striker who not only has an eye for goal, but also has tremendous pace.

The transfer fee for Bony is believed to be £12million with the possibility of it increasing to £13.75million with add-on fees and bonuses for hitting certain milestones.

Swansea’s £12million transfer fee smashes their previous record signing, which was £5.55million for Pablo Hernandez.

If the signing of Bony is finalized tomorrow, it will be — as Swansea midfielder Leon Britton says — a “statement of intent” by the club. It’s a massive coup for a small Welsh club to sign the hottest striker in Holland against stiff opposition that reportedly included West Ham United and Newcastle.

For the Swans, it’s the perfect signing. It’ll allow manager Michael Laudrup to slot Michu back into an attacking midfield position, allowing Bony to play as a stand-alone striker with support from his midfielders.
