Chelsea have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to sign German international Andre Schurrle.
“Chelsea Football Club and Bayer 04 Leverkusen have reached an agreement for the transfer of André Schürrle, subject to the completion of legal documentation and related matters, including personal terms and passing a medical,” read a statement on the Chelsea club website.
Schurrle is a versatile player who can play either on the wing or as a striker. While the player will most probably be Jose Mourinho’s first signing at the club under his reappointment, Chelsea have been chasing the signature of Schurrle for several months.
