After a thrilling end to the match in extra time, Crystal Palace are promoted to the Premier League thanks to a Kevin Phillips penalty kick.

Manager Ian Holloway has done it again. The manager who brought Blackpool into the Premier League has done it with Crystal Palace.

Congratulations to Palace, who won the game 1-0 in extra time. It was a closely fought match against Watford, with opportunities for both clubs to win it. But when Wilfried Zaha was fouled in the box, up stepped Phillips to knock it into the corner of the net past goalkeeper Manuel Almunia.

Here are the match highlights:

For a £120 million game, you’d hope that it didn’t end in a stupid penalty… But there is a moment of madness.

Hard to tell from that video clip (it was pretty quick, and not the best angle), but it looked like the Watford player might have got a touch on the ball there before anything else.
