New images of Manchester United’s home shirt for next season have been leaked on the Internet.

As was reported in December, Manchester United’s new home jersey for the 2013-14 season will be plain red with black trim, and will feature a buttoned-down collar.

The design of the collar is the most unique aspect of the shirt. While it’s not a typical polo shirt collar like the new Arsenal away shirt for next season, the shorter collar on the United shirt gives the entire shirt design a distinctive appearance. The collar reminds me of Newcastle United’s away shirt from 1996, although it’s not identical.

And for the conspiracy theorists who think that this isn’t the new United shirt because Aon is the sponsor. Chevrolet’s sponsorship of the United shirt doesn’t begin until the 2014-15 season.
