Manchester City’s Director of Football Txiki Begiristain met with Manuel Pellegrini’s agent today suggesting that talks may be ongoing to bring Malaga manager Pellegrini to England to replace manager Roberto Mancini, according to a report in the Spanish media.

Two weeks ago, The Telegraph reported that Pellegrini’s agent had talks with Chelsea about becoming their next manager.

Pellegrini is currently the manager of Malaga, who got knocked out of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final in the last minute against Borussia Dortmund. The Spanish side are banned from playing in the Champions League so a move away from Malaga is to be expected.

Prior to managing Malaga, Pellegrini has managed a slew of clubs including Real Madrid, Villarreal, River Plate and the Chile national team.

What are your thoughts regarding Manchester City’s presumed interest in Pellegrini? Should the club replace Mancini with the Malaga manager? Or will Pellegrini end up going to Chelsea instead? Let us know your opinions in the comments section below.
