Robin van Persie has put Manchester United on the verge of their twentieth top flight title by scoring three goals in quick succession against Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

His first goal was scored after an assist from Ryan Giggs and a second assist from Rafael da Silva. That came within the second minute of the match.

And then Aston Villa almost scored through Christian Benteke before Robin van Persie seemingly put the match out of Aston Villa’s reach in the twelfth minute with a superb goal.

Despite the three goals, two of them were questionable based on whether the referee should have blown his whistle for offside. The third goal, especially, looked like it was marginally offside.
