Chelsea representatives have had talks with Manuel Pellegrini’s adviser about becoming the next manager of Chelsea Football Club, according to an exclusive in The Telegraph newspaper.

Pellegrini is currently the manager of Malaga, who got knocked out of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final in the last minute against Borussia Dortmund. The Spanish side are banned from playing in the Champions League so a move away from Malaga is to be expected.

According to The Telegraph, “Pellegrini, a Chilean, has no experience of coaching outside of a Spanish-speaking country but he does speak English and the Chelsea hierarchy greatly admire him.”

  1. Dave says:

Pellegrini is one of the best tacticians in the game. The only question is will he be given time too implement his style on Chelsea. Of course not, this is Chelsea we are talking about. He’ll be rewarded handsomely though so any manager appointed by Chelsea will take the job. The problem is they could be out of work soon.

  2. Andre says:

Very, very good manager. He has done well everywhere he has been. Even in the one season at Madrid he set a record for points in a single campaign was just unlucky to have Barsa at their best in the same league.

Any word on who Chelsea want to replace him in December?
