Two Premier League matches are in store today before the FA Cup semi-final later today between Chelsea and Manchester City.

Early risers will be able to catch the Tyne-Wear derby between Newcastle United and Sunderland, which kicks off (hopefully on the pitch, that is, not in the stands) at 7am ET on ESPN Deportes and WatchESPN.

Paolo Di Canio takes charge of his second Sunderland match as manager. He’s looking for his first win in the toughest of matches against Sunderland’s fiercest rivals. However, Newcastle United players may be a bit tired after Thursday night’s aggregate loss to Benfica. Plus, Sunderland are staring down at relegation, so a point or anything more are vital.

That match is followed by Stoke City against Manchester United at 9am ET on FOX Soccer. Stoke City is another team in desperation. They’re only three points above relegation, and a loss is on the cards against a United side storming to a Premier League title. This one will be a huge test for the Potters and — most importantly — for manager Tony Pulis who is under immense pressure to keep his side up.

Have a wonderful Sunday!
