Millwall plays Wigan Athletic today in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley (kick-off time is 12:15pm ET). The victor will play the winner of tomorrow’s semi-final between Manchester City and Chelsea. Plus, either Millwall or Wigan will potentially book a place in next season’s Europa League if/when City and Chelsea finish in the top four in the Premier League.

For viewers in the United States, the match between Millwall and Wigan Athletic is being shown live on FOX Soccer Plus and FOX Soccer 2Go.

I’m going to hop on the soap box for a minute to say that I find it ridiculous that FOX Soccer decided to relegate the Millwall-Wigan FA Cup semi-final to its sister channel FOX Soccer Plus. This is a FA Cup semi-final. A match of huge proportions for football supporters, and a match that many neutral fans would love to watch. Instead of showing the game live on FOX Soccer, FOX Soccer will be showing Everton-QPR on delay instead. FOX Soccer has done an excellent job of covering the FA Cup this season, but to make this decision for such an important match infuriates me.

Wigan starting XI: Al Habsi, Scharner, Alcaraz, McCarthy, Maloney, Gomez, McManaman, Boyce, Beausejour, Figueroa, Kone.

Millwall starting XI: Forde, Dunne, Shittu, Beevers, Lowry, Abdou, J. Smith, St Ledger, Henry, Keogh, C. Taylor.

Meanwhile, since when does Wigan’s Arouna Kone play in defense? See screen grab below from FOX Soccer with the line-ups listed in the ticker:
