Everton skipper Phil Neville has announced that he will be leaving the club at the end of this season.

Neville, who has been at Everton since 2005, will take some time to weigh up his options. It’s quite possible that Neville may be interested in a career as a pundit, where his brother Gary Neville has achieved rave reviews.

“It’s been an honor to play for and captain Everton Football Club,” said Neville. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time on Merseyside and will leave with immense pride.”

Phil Neville has made 303 appearances for Everton, and became only the seventh player in Premier League history to make 500 Premier League appearances. Neville joined Everton from Manchester United in the summer of 2005.

Neville has won six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, one Champions League titleand one World Club Cup.
